Why the real change matters
Nominal growth includes the loss of the currency’s purchasing power. The real change compares house price growth with general consumer price inflation and shows whether property has preserved its value. It is calculated using TurkStat’s Consumer Price Index.
Reading the data
The index shows the average trend across a region. The price of an individual flat can differ markedly depending on location, age, title status and comparables. See our Market Data page for up-to-date charts and the full series since 2010.
This bulletin is compiled automatically from official data. It is not investment advice; the value of each property must be assessed separately based on its own title, zoning and comparable conditions.
